A Modest Proposal

Untitled document

I see today that Teddy Kennedy's opposition to the off-shore wind energy farm is going to be attacked by some others in the Senate. What's funny here is that Ted "I'll Drive" Kennedy portrays himself as a champion of "liberal" causes. Which means he's for alternative energy, right?

Not in Ted's backyard, though. My God, don't you realize what that would do to the sailing? (I claim credit for inventing NITBY as a new acronym!)

I've written on why wind energy is a pie-in-the-sky concept. But I actually have thought up a way to make it efficient and make up for not building the off-shore farm, too.

We simply install a windmill in front of every, single Senator pompously proposing solutions to the gas price situation! It is a no-lose situation, folks. It would have to be a real heavy duty one in front of Teddy, though.. He's very windy…..

UPDATE: Anyone who didn't see this coming hasn't been around here very long…..

    Hey Gaius,

Did you make up that moniker-Ted “I’ll drive” Kennedy? If so, that’s pretty damn clever.

  2. Gauis Arbo says:

Yeah, I did. Or at least I’ve never heard anyone else use it. So it’s new as far as I know.
