NKU Free Speech Update
The soon to be former Northern Kentucky University instructor who instructed her students to exercise their free speech rights by silencing other students has been charged by the County Attorney. Six of the students were also charged. The charges include criminal mischief, theft by unlawful taking and for the professor, criminal solicitation. The professor's attorney still maintains that tearing up the crosses was just free speech.
"The intent was just an expression of freedom of speech," Grubbs said. "She saw harm coming from it, and she was just expressing her attitude towards the harm."
Obviously, the professor still needs a bit of education on what free speech is. Maybe a bit of time in the County pokey will illuminate her.
