Ayman al-Zawahri completes the terrorist trifecta this week with the release of a video tape. He claims the US military is broken. It's interesting to see all three of these terrorists coming out with statements so soon together. It's also interesting how they are using exactly the same messages that some of the opponents of the war use daily.
Coincidence? I think not. These statements key directly off what war opponents are saying specifically to reinforce the memes. That gets airplay. It's called propaganda. The other thing is that this barrage of messages makes me think there is a whiff of desperation in the air here. It's demonstrable that the military has not been defeated. I'm thinking that things are not going at all well for the terrorists in Iraq at the moment. Notice that this tape mostly addresses Pakistan, Iraq is almost an aside.
