Getting lots of stories in the press about what they plan to do if they take over one or both houses of Congress. A while back I criticized Nancy Pelosi for what has come to be known as her "victory lap". The same reasoning applies here. Crowing too soon may actually work against them in the fall. Laying out detailed agendas is doubly stupid, I think. If Democrats win one or both houses of Congress in November's elections, as polls suggest is increasingly likely, President Bush's Washington will change dramatically. But, Nasty Nancy wasn't there to proselytize, she was pandering to the Dem's hateful hard Left. Which she sees them as a source of money, energy, and election day votes. Midterm elections are all about turnout. Few swing voters or moderates get involved, it's mostly each party's faithful who clash. So, midterms are all about turning out the base. Nasty Nancy was calling out her side and offering the only bait she knows they'll swallow, hook, line, and sinker. I'll bet GWB's approval rating jumped at least 10 points during the hour.
