A German woman stopped to buy some gas for her car. After filling the tank, she discovered she did not have enough cash to pay the bill. So she told the gas station attendants she'd have to go withdraw some more cash and she left a deposit to ensure her return. Specifically, she left her friend as a sort of human IOU. And off she drove to the bank.
After two hours or so, the folks at the gas station got just a tad suspicious and called police. After questioning the human deposit, they released her and are now searching for the owner of the car on suspicion of fraud.
Wow, what a way to treat a friend.
