McKinney Update

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that negotiations are underway to reach a plea deal in the matter of Cynthia McKinney's alleged assault of a Capitol Police officer. McKinney's attorney denies it and the US Attorney's office will neither confirm or deny. All of which is typical.

McKinney should take a deal and get this over with. The spectacle of an indictment and trial would be damaging both to her and to the Democratic party.
