One day, one of my coworkers came through my area with a bag of gopher bait, heading up to the roof. I asked him why he had gopher bait, and where he was going. And bird-shot. And kitties. Oh, and running a slight electric current through the roof would work (that's how statues stay clean). Say, couple thousand watts. This guy's either on the pigeon's pay roll or he's clueless about the basics of roof construction. I'd have a close look for leaking pipes on the dirty arm of the upstairs plumbing.
