The Silence Of The Left
There is plenty of screaming and finger-pointing from the left on Israel's conduct of the war in Lebanon. Although even UN officials have condemned Hezbollah for hiding among civilians, even though Kofi Annan's own assistant has pointed out Hezbollah's intentional targeting of civilians, even though even Human Rights Watch came out with a report condemning Hezbollah's actions (although hedging quite a bit, I thought), the left concentrates only on Israel when it comes to decrying the conduct of the war. Israel is accused of Geneva Convention violations while Hezbollah's violations are ignored. Despite the fact that Hezbollah, as part of the Lebanese government, is bound by the same conventions.
Today, Hezbollah rockets, aimed exclusively at civilians, killed seven civilians.
MAALOT, Israel - A wave of Hezbollah rockets pounded northern Israel Thursday, killing seven people, Israeli rescue officials said. Meanwhile, Hezbollah's chief spokesman said that his group will not agree to a cease-fire until all Israeli troops leave Lebanon.
The seven rocket fatalities were the most in a single day since eight people were killed July 16 when a rocket struck a train maintenance depot in Haifa.
Israeli officials said the attacks did not mean their 23-day offensive against Hezbollah guerrillas was unsuccessful, despite the militants' continuing ability to strike northern Israel.
"Don't forget that next to the losses, we also have achievements. They take hits, and hits and hits," Cabinet minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer told Channel Two television.
At least 132 rockets hit the Jewish state Thursday, with 100 hitting northern Israel in a matter of minutes.
Every civilian death in this war should be laid at the feet of Hezbollah. Every single one.

Hmmm…..Hezbollah claims over 900 civilian deaths. I wonder, because of the nature of the confict, how many of those are actually terrorists? My guess would be at least 60-75%. It’s a shame there’s no way to really tell.

All that is required for evil to prevail is for good men to remain silent.
But America’s domestic enemies aren’t silent at all. MSM is so opposed to GWB they would take the country into humiliation and defeat in order to satisfy their blood lust to bring him low. They are blind with hate and determined to prevail, and they don’t care what disasters their jihad inflicts on the ethics of their profession or on the American people.
The noisy tribe of MSM serpents is every bit the mortal enemy of American democracy, more dangerous than North Korea, Iran, Osama bin Ladin, Hamas, and Hezbollah put together. Our foreign enemies only want to defeat us, MSM is out to destroy the very essence of our social contract.

Yeah, the MSM is totally against Bush. Just today I read one MSM journalist comment on Iraq saying “Sectarian violence probably is as bad as I’ve seen it, in Baghdad in particular. If not stopped, it is possible that Iraq could move toward civil war.” Civil War?!? Typical MSMer, totally ignoring all the progress we’ve made, and the hundreds of billions we’ve spent.
It’s not just the American MSM against Bush either. Some British journalist reported yesterday “The prospect of a low intensity civil war and a de facto division of Iraq is probably more likely at this stage than a successful and substantial transition to a stable democracy.” Typical British high-brow speak, but same doom and gloom message. Curse those MSM doom and gloomers bent on wrecking Dubya’s master plan!
Oh wait, that wasn’t the MSM, that was a US General and a Senior British envoy.
Let’s try and dig up some dirt on them and call them unpatriotic; that should help distract people from hearing what they’re saying. Know your place; shut your face!
