    If she considers the USS Cole attack to be a terrorist attack (I’m not disputing that), then there have been PLENTY of terrorist attacks against our troops since invading Iraq. A guy blew himself up inside the green zone for heaven’s sake, nevermind the countless car bombs at checkpoint, IEDs, etc.

    I’m not saying that “none of this would have happened if we hadn’t invaded Iraq.” But I really want to hear what these foiled terrorists would say to the question: “What made you decide to participate in this act of terrorism?” Do they really just hate our freedom?

    One exception- Actually the largest Muslim country in the world, Indonesia, just started having a more favorable view of America. Why the change of heart? Because to them America is the country that offers support in time of crisis (the tsunami).

    I’d contemplate what the answer might be as to what motivates these terrorists, reflect on declining opinion of America by Muslim countries, and dwell on Indonesia reversing the trend.
