It's not that George Soros, Theresa Heinz Kerry or the Walton family should be condemned for giving to advocacy oraganizations, it's that when those organizations specifically comment on an issue about their sponsors, it should be disclosed. If it isn't, the commentary deserves to be questioned as possibly being 'for hire'. I think the point is to disclose that you have a financial relationship with the subject of your commentary.
