I&#039;ve known about the airship program for just about forever, I think. It&#039;s one of those odd things I picked up somewhere along the way. So with the wonders of the world wide web (courtesy of Al Gore) I dug up some information on NAS Lakehurst, the large airship facility the Navy used to have in New Jersey. Here&#039;s some good information about airship tactics as they evolved. (Bonus, they have specs for the USS Macon ZRS-5). And finally, here&#039;s the US Navy photo page on the USS Macon.
