Blogger version at least. John Hawkins at Right Wing News asked 225 bloggers to pick who they considered to be the greatest Americans in history. I was one of the bloggers asked to participate. He has the list of Americans and the list of bloggers who helped choose the list.

    He became an American citizen.

    Yes, I know. And a Swiss citizen too.
    And I did not say anything against him being on the list.

    It’s just that him becoming an American citizen does not mean he ceased to be a german.

    Oddly, the way it works here, yes he did. He remained of German descent, but he became an American. As did my grandparents.
