		<description>Alaskan residents and natives receive direct US federal aid, Alaskan state aid, various preference programs, and according to the GAO, hundreds, even thousands of millions of dollars in no-bid federal contracts.  They are smart enough not to bite the hand that feeds them, but if they wanted to make a real gesture, how about taking that oil from Mr. Chavez and sending $5/gallon back to the US Treasury?</description>
