Dems have had plenty of chances to show what they can do, that's why so few Americans trust them on significient issues, like national security, or immigration. The mess called the Iraq fiasco should have been cleaned up by those who made it, who've so poorly executed the invasion and aftermath. Projecting 'optimism' and spreading fear are not strategies. It is time for new voices. And it is just ugly politics to pre-emptively criticize those new voices before they can even get into the halls of power to do anything about the mess.
