According to that standard, USA Today–another Gannett publication–is the voice of the American people. I mean, just look at their name!

Tell me, when was the last time you paid to USA Today to be dropped on your doorstep when you weren’t shacked up in a hotel? When was the last time you even looked at that two-bit rag? Those “military publications” are exactly the same: they claim a readership based solely on their name. They have no physical, or intrinsic, association with the audience they claim to address.

Yes, it’s obviously about the elections all right, but since the editorial employs an obvious lie to pretend it’s about something else, nothing it says can be taken seriously.

It’s propaganda, distributed right before an election, and designed to influence the military vote, undermine the confidence of our fighting men and women, and raise fears among their family members.

It is an undemocratic act of stunning proportions designed to suppress the military vote. It will go down in the history of journalism as a prime example of the gross betrayal of the basic principles of the profession.

Gannett Media Group has joined forces with the Democrat Party to sow confusion among military families while our fighting men and women are overseas and in harm’s way.

Contrary to the statement above, the editorial represents the far left wing of the Democrat Party and their willing accomplices in the Drive by Media.

This editorial is a despicable act of cowardice and treachery.

Of course it’s about the election. And don’t think the Editorial Boards aren’t reflecting their readership. No oversight has been an unmitigated disaster that the military has had to bear the brunt of. Putting 20-something GOP political idealogues in charge of the Iraq reconstruction doomed it from the start and Congress abdicated all responsibility. Rumsfeld championed this misguided effort and needs to go now.

Of course the media are often influenced by the politicians, so put 2+2 together. It doesn’t matter whether its blue or red, it’s corrupt. DC is a slimy place. That’s why I call it the District of Corruption.
