They're simply incapable of seeing beyond their idiotic petty grievances. The nation is at war, terrorists are plotting the mass murder of innocent civilians, and those who would lead the nation aren't concerned, no, they're intent on seeking revenge for imaginary wrongs, and even make common cause with the enemy. We're fooling ourselves if we think we can work with such persons. It's a waste of time. Read their words and tell me it's possible to come to any other reasonable conclusion. Now, I know what we see here is only the kook fringe, and can't be taken seriously, but to the extent they represent the attitudes of Dem Congressional leaders, it isn't possible to dismiss them either. He's a drug addict and a generally sleazy person who sent his maid out to buy drugs for him. The Republicans had an obligation to denounce him when that news came out, after having lionized him when they took over the Congress. They were silent.
