Giuliani Is In
Rudy Giuliani has formed his own exploratory committee, following by a few days the announcement that John McCain was doing so.
The former mayor filed papers to create the Rudy Giuliani Presidential Exploratory Committee, Inc., establishing a panel that would allow him to raise money for a White House run and travel the country.
The four-page filing, obtained by The Associated Press, lists the purpose of the non-profit corporation "to conduct federal 'testing the waters' activity under the Federal Election Campaign Act for Rudy Giuliani."
The paperwork is signed by Bobby Burchfield, a partner at the DC-based law firm of McDermott Will & Emery, a firm that handles political work.
Giuliani spokeswoman Sunny Mindel declined to comment.
Giuliani was widely praised for leading the city during and after the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. He has said for months that he would wait until the end of the 2006 elections to decide whether to embark on a White House bid.
Frankly, Rudy has the best chance at this point of beating McCain, who I frankly have already said I would not support. That is if McCain doesn't suddenly go third party, of course. That is a possibility.

You can’t be from the New York area if you think Giuliani is a good candidate. The man’s been married 3 times, first to his own cousin, then to the wife who had his 2 children and while he was married to her, he had affairs with someone on his staff and another woman and he marched in parades with the second one.
When he decided to ditch Wife No. 2 and married the other woman, he didn’t even tell his wife to her face; she learned it in the news. And she is bitter. Very bad divorce. Very bad child custody case which got plenty of press. One of the saddest things was that the judge told him he couldn’t have his children visit him if his mistress was staying there because the children had spent so little time with their father that they were very vulnerable and shouldn’t have to compete with the mistress.
I mean, he’s just an awful human being. He even tried to scarf up some 9/11 money for the mistress. He has gotten an absolute free pass from the media and maybe someday someone will ask him about what he told Peter Jennings on 9/11: That he was told the buildings were going to collapse. Who told him and what the hell were those police and firefighters doing in those buildings when the mayor was told they were going to collapse?

Arlo you left out he’s a great cross-dresser and had gay roommates but it’s probably the ‘Guiliani is Hilter because he doesn’t believe in guvment funded idiotic art’ which scares you the most.
New Yorkers (yes I live here too) really don’t have the moral authority to attack Guilliani for his lifestyes choices since we are the dregs of society to begin with.
