There is a home button at the top of the page just under the header. I'll see if I can figure how to add one to the form as well, though.

Administrivia---the comment capture plug-in doesn't have a click back to the home page after it approves the comment. Can that be added?

I'm not sure the percentage of people who go to church is _directly_ responsible for the difference.

Why do Red State people give more? Despite what John F'n Kerry says Christians are not saved by works...they are saved by Faith alone. That Faith leads us to follow Christ's teaching:
<blockquote>'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'</blockquote>

That thought is deeply ingrained in folks living in areas still not overwhelmed by the secular progressives even if they aren't going regularly to church. Read Walter Russell Meade's essay where he describes the "Jacksonian" tribe of America.
http://www.lts.com/~cprael/Meade_FAQ.htm

On the whole Jacksonians aren't the ideal model of "church going folk" but much of the basic philosophy of "Christian Charity" is deeply embedded. They _expect_ to give to help the less well off...they just don't want that charity taken by governmental force and ill-spent. So while they'll bitch mightily about "welfare queens" they'll dig deep to give to the Bellringer.

Liberals on the other hand don't expect to give, don't expect others to give and that's why they insist that in order to help the the impoverished that it must be done by coercion. Forced is the only way Liberals know they will give; and it's the only way they think you will give. See how they care??!
