Thank You (Unofficially)
The unofficial results for the 2006 Weblog Awards place Blue Crab Boulevard at number four out of the total field of ten candidates in the category of Best New Blog. I am not trying to be falsely modest here - I am stunned at that result. I did not expect to be nominated at all, and certainly did not expect to be in the group of finalists. I humbly thank every person who voted for me. To me, even being in this at all has been unbelievable. Where the Crabitat finished (unofficially) is even more amazing.
I have spent much of the past week or so trying, with the help of an anonymous angel, to keep this blog up and online. I wish I could have spent more time putting my best foot forward for new readers drawn to the site by the nomination. But I really wanted to thank the folks who voted for Blue Crab Boulevard and to congratulate everyone who was in the running for this and all of the other categories. Win, lose or draw, we all were out there for the world to see.
And I think that is worth thanking everyone who participated, whether as a nominee or as a voter.

I think the attacks hurt also, QM. And it was a directed attack, TC. Whether or not the timeing was related to the awards, it did a number on the site - still is even though it is infinitely better since the fixes have gone in. Alexandra, thanks very much.

You have to do the operations in the correct order. Multiplication has to be done first. I suspect the math challenged will not be able to comment at all.

Congrats:) I voted this blog as best also - just love this site. I’ve been traveling a lot lately and haven’t been able to check in on my favorite blogs often so I didn’t even realize your site was under attack. I am glad you are back up and running.

Thanks, Diva. They are still hitting - hard - but the changes that have been made are holding the attacks more or less at bay. You probably tried to post the comment when they were trying to avalanche the site again.
