Somebody is causing global warming but it’s not us (the serfs), it’s them (the powers that be).

In any case, Monckton’s “analysis” is a complete misrepresentation of the science. Take rising sea levels. As explained in the report summary, the first report combined two figures: ocean heat expansion and melting land ice.

The number used in the new report does not include the latter projection at all. Why? Because recent observations show melting to be much worse. That initial data has not yet been subjected to detailed review, so the IPCC left out the whole dataset out of an abundance of caution in a vain attempt to appease critics who’ve been leveling the “alarmist” charge. A fat lot of good that did them.
