Here's a historical oddity I found while wandering aimlessly around over at YouTube. The Band with the Staple Singers performing The Weight. I have no idea what year this is from. But do check out the bass player. He is enthusiastic.

    The Last Waltz. 1978. IIRC this, along with a few other songs, was recorded post-production on The Band’s Documentary on what was supposed to be their last tour performance.

    It looks like a movie, so you are probably exactly right. It was definitely filmed, not videotaped and expertly editied.

    I did not know it was possible to do the chicken dance and play an instrument at the same time. At least he had his shirt on.
