One of the key political errors made by Bush and the war-mad bloggers was in painting too rosy a picture of likely success. Then, when success didn't follow unambiguously, the whole endeavor looked like a disaster. And then it became a real disaster. Same thing here. Painting Sadr's escape as a huge, important victory is just going to make it look a disaster when he returns and the mayhem continues. (which is exactly what the reality-based community predicts) Not for nothing, but yall aren’t learning from your mistakes very well.
