Do you think 160,000 troops is enough to win this war of the generation?

Man, I hope this is true. I honestly think this war is the test of this generation. If we fail, the consequences will be unthinkable.

After th election Rahm Emanuel was saying that the Democrats won because Americans wanted change. OTOH, the nutsroots were claiming a victory to end the war. How is it that Emanuel's message got lost? Look at how many freshman Democrats are Centerists if not actual Blue Dogs.

In Oct, Nov and Dec all we heard about was the Culture of Corruption, exemplified by Mark Foley. The pundits were invcredibly busy telling us that this election was not a referendum on the war. Yet as soon as it became apparent that the Democrats had no intention of ethics reform the media drumbeat shifted. Suddenly this was an election that acted as a mandate on the war. Why?

Investors Daily.com: ''We'd have to go back to Benedict Arnold to find Americans as eager as Murtha & Co. to see an American defeat on the battlefield''...

It's not that the Democrats think we're losing or that the war is unwinnable. They simply don't want to win it. Commentary: Captain's Quarters, Blue Crab Boulevard.......
