On A Personal Note
I've known this for a few days, but did not want to say anything until it was official: My son's unit is coming home earlier than expected. They should be here at the end of this month instead of in August. My son has already shipped all but the bare necessities home. My daughter in law is leaving footprints on the ceiling. My other kids are dancing around.

Woohoo! You must be one happy dad! And to your son … thank you for all the work you have put in to trying to make the world a better place.

Yeah, what Crosspatch said.
I’m happy for you and your entire family. And to your son, my many many many thanks. Someone posted in one of the forums a bumper sticker. It read:
“Because you can read this, thank a teacher. Because it’s in English, thank a soldier.”
So again, thank you.

Thanks, folks. It’s good to know some people still support the troops.

Great for you and for him. Thank him for me. And like others have said - thank you for your blog. It is enjoyable.
My son is still there but he also may come home before August. Just don’t know yet. Keep up the great work you do. And thank your son - they have done a great job and a great service to their country.

Thanks to your wife and you for raising such a fine young man, and thanks to him for risking it all in the hard job of preserving our freedom.

That’s great news. I know these will be the longest four months ever.

Glad to hear it. My son-in-law is supposed to be heading over later this year, but I’m not certain just when.

Gaius:
Let your son know that there are still those of us who support the troops - wholeheartedly, 100%. Tell him, “Thank you for the job you have done!”

Great news!
And, yes, there a lot more troop supporters out here than the news would lead us to believe.
