No, Ed. The message is that Gore is a lying hypocrite. Even today’s Guardian is slamming the enormous waste of energy and the enormous carbon footprint of the goregasm.

And your real point is that you just don’t want the environmental message getting expressed. So let’s try and make environmentalists not effectively communicate by limiting their use of tools.

I’m just not buying it. If you have another message why don’t you get all the creative people on the Right together to focus attention on what you want to say. You can have Ted Nugent and Toby Keith and Dennis Miller and…and…and…well forget that idea. I guess just whining about how effective Gore has been is about all you can do.

Let's see, this is a continent that is the least visited by man, one of the most pristine environments on the planet and almost mythical in it's vast expanse of untouched wilderness – yeah, it's pretty much ice, snow and wind. But I remember the excitement when I read about the scientific expeditions there. (I also am purportedly related to Roald Amundsen, at least according to my grandmother who had the same last name, but the name Amundsen in Norway is as common as "Smith" in the US. So who knows.)
