No More Use

It seems that Cindy Sheehan is no longer of any use to the Koz Kidz. It seems her threat to run against Nancy Pelosi has turned the Kidz against her. Harshly. So much for absolute moral authority.

Cindy Sheehan’s decision to run against Nancy Pelosi has fractured her base of moonbat support. She’s been kicked out of the Daily Kos, because she doesn’t meet their Democrat test of purity any more, and now the Kidz are posting rueful farewells to their former icon of absolute moral authority: Daily Kos: Cindy Has Changed, Not Us.

Unfortunately the power of your message declined the more you saw yourself as a leader of a larger political movement.

And this is capped off by the incredibly condescending statement today:

Please understand that I am doing it for your children and grandchildren (and my surviving ones).

In other words, our analysis isn’t valued (not really sure why you asked for our feedback in the beginning then). Many of us believe that you are both unqualified to be a Congressperson and your strategy of challenging Pelosi is unwise politically.  But according to you, we simply don’t understand that you’re doing it for “our children.”

If you think the right was hard on Sheehan, just wait until the left gets up to speed. This woman will be a complete pariah. And for someone with a pathological need for attention, that is not going to go well for her. Cindy Sheehan made the mistake of believing the left believed in her. But she was just being useful to them. She isn't any longer. It will be a hard dose of reality for Sheehan.

The sound you now hear is that of the Kossacks and the rest of the Kool-Aid Krowd sucking the oxygen out of Mother Sheehan’s campaign.

Sheehan always reminded me in some ways of of Ernst Röhm. She is a bloodthirst, kooky figure who is being torn apart by the fascists she tirelessly worked for.

In a nutshell, it sounds like Cindy is being slapped down because she doesn’t know her place. She is getting a little to uppity.

It’s hard on a tool when it gets tossed aside.

What absolute nonsense. If the left were supporting Cindy Sheehan’s plan to run against Nancy Pelosi if Pelosi does not start impeachment proceedings against Bush and Cheney in the next two weeks, you would be telling us how we are so consumed with Bush-hatred that we will not criticize our favorite anti-war icon, even when she threatens Pelosi with dire political consequences if Pelosi does not do something that would be a clearly unethical conflict of interest.

On the other hand, it’s amusing to see you and all the other right-wing bloggers who have expressed so much contempt for Cindy Sheehan, suddenly start to tsk-tsk and cluck sympathetically about how liberals just saw her as a “useful tool” — because God forbid that you should go on record agreeing that Cindy Sheehan’s ultimatum to Pelosi is very ill-advised when that’s what liberals are saying, even though you would be saying it if we were supporting Sheehan in this. It would totally be the end of the world if you took a position consistent with your own beliefs if that has the effect of putting you on the same side as liberals.

DO not attempt to project what you think I would say, Kathy. Nor assume I would say or behave as you project on any subject. You’re tiresome and your behavior is boorish, as usual.

  • By Kathy, Thursday, 12 July , 2007 @ 6:26 pm

Who’s projecting? You said it; I called you on it.

Perhaps if your reading comprehension outpaced your assumptions you would actually understand my position. That is clearly beyond you at this point. Good luck in your future endeavors.

By the way, projecting your assumptions of what I would hypothetically do - if I thought and acted as you assume I would -then triumphantly proclaiming you “called me” on whatever only displays your childish reasoning for the world to see.

She’s used Kleenex & will be disposed of without a thought.

If your only tool is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail…Daily Kossack is a nutroot arm of the Dhimmicrat elite, not a tribune for the people.

Political hacks come in all sizes, even short-round south-of-the-border runaways like Markos.

a href=”http://www.dailykos.com/story/2005/8/13/9565/81042″> AS the Kossacks said when Momma Moonbat first popped into the radar screen:

Framing Cindy Sheehan - we are making errors

What are we trying to accomplish with promoting her?

    1. Emphasizing her sacrifice.

    2. Emphasizing her stating truth to power.

    3. Emphasizing her plain speaking, clear statements.

    4. Relate her vigil over her dead son to universal archtypes of all vigils over dead children killed by dictatorial rulers throughout all history.

    My suggestions below:
We should call her “Mother Sheehan”. We should never call her Cindy; I don’t know her. “Mother Sheehan” is her title, and expresses her ceremonial status as a bereaved mother, calling forth over the dead body of her son. She is not a person now, she is a mother, which is not an expression of her individuality, but rather the expression of her eternal character: the mother, the bringer of life who has been wronged by state power.

It goes on in a similar sickening vein…and what it talks about is exactly how they used Sheehan.

Yes, Kathy, your side used “Mother Sheehan” for petty political gains. As it has for teh past six years.

Cindy Sheehan’s ultimatum to Pelosi is very ill-advised

In real democracies, anyone who wants to run for office and meets the filing standards, should be able to.

The left isn’t interested in actual democratic behavior though.
