Yes, it certainly looks like payback, all right. Payback in stupidity, that is. Reid apparently wants to prove that he can do a worse job than the late Republican majority.

I guess ducking answers to difficult questions is also part of the payback, or pretending that there will be no consequences to policy changes.

After the GOP giddily ran roughshod over the minority, they are starting to get payback.

So sad.... I'd shed a tear for them if I weren't giggling.

Is Wapo Learning or Just Hedging Their Bets?...

Business wise this is a smart move for Wapo. One has to wonder when the NYT will learn what Wapo seems to be learning, a lesson everyone who is in business learns over time and it is called CYA, which means, Cover Your Ass, for all events....

[...] Hiat’s right, this is a phony debate. The Republican party shut out it’s moderates and the entire democratic caucus while it was in power and it was they who got us into this mess. All of these cries for “bipartisan” “compromise” now just sounds like the whimpers of a sore loser. And screaming about “partisan hackery” just makes you look hypocritical. You had your chance for moderate solutions to our problems in Iraq. You, in fact, had the opportunity and the power to ensure those problems never happened. Instead you’ve acted as Bush enablers for the last six years. [...]
