Hillary, Meet Post

The New York Post is slamming Hillary! Clinton quite hard for refusing to denounce the ad by MoveOn.org. In fact, they actually accuse her of trying to position herself to the left of Nancy Pelosi – a feat that would seemingly be impossible.

At issue was the MoveOn ad, published in Monday's Times, attacking Petraeus' honor as a man and as a soldier.

How disgusting was it?

Even Pelosi, one of the most left-wing speakers ever, said she'd have "preferred that they won't do such an ad."

But Clinton not only couldn't bring herself to criticize it, she also attacked Petraeus' honesty: "The reports that you provide to us really require the willing suspension of disbelief," she huffed to the general Tuesday.

And she slammed him (and Ambassador Ryan Crocker) as "de facto spokesmen for a failed policy," pointedly refusing to criticize the ad – which called him an outright liar who'd "betray" his nation.

Giuliani, by contrast, had it exactly right.

He called the MoveOn ad "one of the more disgusting things that has happened in American politics."

Added America's Mayor: "The failure of the Democratic candidates to really condemn that, given how much money MoveOn.org spends on behalf of Democratic candidates, is unfortunate."

To say the least.

Clinton already has a growing fundraising scandal, she simply does not need another problem. Yet there's that tin ear she displays all too often. Political insiders may not get all that excited about the attack ad, instead trying to spin it one way or another. But the real problem is how it will play with the average Americans. For that the Democrats might want to remember the rapid fall of Joe McCarthy after he went over the top.

Her Smugness just doesn’t get it! General Patraeus is an honest, intellectual, coherent officer and as we’ve seen on national tv, a gentleman and a scholar. Too bad that cannot be said for the current crop of wanna-bees, especially Hillary!

MoveOn made a craptacular move that really bent the tracks for the Democratic Express which was in an elaborate prequel trying to undermine Petraeus’s credibility when the over-the-top ad appeared.

The specious spurious lying MoveOn guttersniping gave the lie to any Democratic claims to objective analysis. The subsequent cowardice of Clinton and the seven dwarfs [or however many] reveals the craven appeasement Dems make toward ultra-left bloggers.

Do the Dems believe that the country doesn’t note their craven abject submission to blackmail by MoveOn, who overtly tells them that if they condemn the ad, they will be punished by guttersnipe bloggers in Soros-cide squads?

These things get out, and the more the MSM like the NYT tries to cover up their discounting the MoveOn ad and other complicity with this outrageous slander of an honorable man, the more the American people will realize that the Mighty Wurlitzer of the left MSM does not have the interests of the USA first and foremost.

Ah, the perpetual outrage! of the right. I can’t wait to see what will outrage! you next. My bet is on the lack of outrage! by others.

Weakest lefty talking point yet, jpe. Compared to what? Kos? DU? MoveOn?

    Really lame.

  5. FedUp says:

JPE, you’d be better served to question what the whole purpose of the Moveon.Org was. It wasn’t meant to bring peace and harmony, it was meant to inflict pain and embarassment to well-respected member of our Armed forces and thereby attack his Commander-in-chief. If you can’t see that, then you need to crawl back under whatever rock you crawled out of. You have no social conscience and I feel sorry for you!

  6. jpe says:

Actually, it was meant to impart facts. Publicly available facts. If Petraeus wants to concoct nonsense charts about decreases in IEDs+Green Bananas in his Fridge, he’s free to, but he’ll get called on it.
