As a mick, I welcome this largely symbolic effort. Next year should be the year of butter, salt and snipped chives. Cheese and bacon for the year after. Can’t hurt to toss in broccoli or sour cream or sauteed onions.

I went ahead and dug in my potatoes for next spring. Even fenced them off, as the alkaloid rich berries are attractive to the young-uns. Somehow I feel that I should get a subsidy for raising awareness. I’ll be the guy with hand outstretched, expectant.
