Freya, 1996-2007

My daughter took these in better days.

Rest in peace, old girl.

I take it that you have lost a loving friend.
    Soft thoughts and loving memories.

It’s always sad to lose an old friend. She was a pretty girl.

Nice looking canine. I had a Keeshound mix which weighed about 45 lbs for 16 years. Had the same markings and the eyeglasses. Freya looks like a pure bred. The dog sure loved the snow. Once I was talking with someone in the spring and I see “Archie” curled up on the last piece of snow left, I’m still laughing.

I lost a canine companion of many years this last spring. It’s hard to see them go. My sympathies.

Condolences. I haven’t owned a dog in years, but I still miss one I had in high school. And this is just the kind I’ve been thinking I’d want, if I ever got another.

My heart goes out to you. Over many years I’ve lost several pets to disease and/or old age, and each time is as much a tragedy as my heart can stand.

Now get busy. There’s another friend behind bars at some shelter, waiting for you.

My sincere condolences… Smokey, our Norwegian elkhound, died and left a big hole in our hearts!

So sorry about your dog. Dogs (and pets in general) are the best friends: they love you unconditionally.

If you want someone who will bring you the newspaper without first tearing it apart to get the sports page, get a dog.

If you want someone who is willing to make a fool of himself simply over the joy of seeing you, get a dog.

If you want someone who will eat whatever you put in front of him and never say it’s not as good as Mom made it, get a dog.

If you want someone who is always willing to go, at any hour, for as long as you like and wherever you want, get a dog.

If you want someone who will never touch the remote, doesn’t care what you’re watching on TV, and will sit next to you while you watch, get a dog.

If you want someone who is content to get up on your bed and just warm your feet, get a dog.

And if you want someone who never criticizes what you do, doesn’t care if you are pretty or ugly, fat or thin, young or old, who acts as if every word you say is worth listening to, and who loves you unconditionally and forever, get a dog.
