"If people can't find work, they won't be able to pay their bills, so they will leave," Hernandez said.

Can you say "DUH"? I have said many times that all we have to do to stop illegal immigration is make it a criminal offense with heavy penalties to employ illegals. If they can't get work here (the one main reason they come) they won't come! It seems like the folks in Arizona finally figured this out. Good for them!

I read this in the AZ Repulic online yesterday. I just wanted to hurl. Especially about the "false documents" tragedy. I also found it interesting that there were no comments allowed on the article--perhaps they are clueing in that Arizonans are actually for law enforcement.

Oh well, we can always comment on Jamie Lynn Spears instead.

Grrr

Merry Christmas Gaius!

No, that's the irony here. Mexico requires someone entering to prove they belong there. While whining that the US must allow its citizens into our country without restriction.

This is otherwise known as a hypocritical double standard.

Why do they need papers to get back into Mexico? Can't they just sneak back into Mexico the same way they came?
