When the Senate manages to fully fund the troops in wartime, when they end earmarks, when they can hold hearings on nominees in a timely fashion, when they can balance the budget, when they can drain the ethical sewer that is the US Senate by expelling Reid (of the crooked land deals), Feinstein (who directed government contracts to her husband), Stevens (the earmark king), Kennedy (a murderer), Clinton (insider trading and obstruction of justice), Byrd (a KKK Grand Wizard), Webb (who tried to have his aide smuggle a gun onto Capitol Hill), Shumer (identity theft), and Murray (the Osama bin Laden groupie), when their approval rating is above Beelzebub’s, then they can order the NFL around.

You are quite right Gaius. On the other hand, it strikes me that the NFL could antagonize it’s customer base if they reserve the choicest games for the NFL Network. But that is their right. Disclaimer: I no longer follow NFL football.
