She Was For Defeat Before She Was Against it
A lot of the blogosphere today has been focused on Hillary Clinton's Meet the Press interview. But they have mostly focused on the growing racial antipathy between Clinton and Barack Obama. Jim Hoft over at Gateway Pundit notices another aspect of Clinton's appearance: her trying to grab credit for the success of the surge in Iraq that she opposed.

This is typical Clinton election politics. Remember when Slick Willie took credit for the economic recovery that actually began nearly a year (according to most ecenomists) before he ever got into office the first time? As short a time ago as last September she was talking about belief in the success of the troop surge requiring “a willing suspension of disbelief” during Gen. Petraeus’ congressional testimony. Now she wants to say that it’s successful because the Iraqis apparently hang on her every word with bated breath? Which words would those be? I’d love to hear her quote just which words she uttered that produced success in Iraq.
