Depravity

If you needed any further evidence of the utter depravity of the islamist jihadis – or of their complete inhumanity – you only have to read this report.

BAGHDAD – Remote-controlled explosives strapped to two mentally retarded women detonated in a coordinated attack on Baghdad pet bazaars Friday, Iraqi officials said, killing at least 73 people in the deadliest day since the U.S. sent 30,000 extra troops to the capital last spring.

The chief Iraqi military spokesman in Baghdad, Brig. Gen. Qassim al-Moussawi, claimed the female bombers had Down syndrome and that the explosives were detonated by remote control, indicating they may not having been willing attackers in what could be a new method by suspected Sunni insurgents to subvert stepped up security measures.

U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Ryan Crocker said the bombings showed that a resilient al-Qaida has "found a different, deadly way" to try to destabilize Iraq.

"There is nothing they won't do if they think it will work in creating carnage and the political fallout that comes from that," he told The Associated Press in an interview at the State Department.

Or this one.

Two women thought to suffer from Down's syndrome may have been unwilling suicide bombers in twin blasts that killed up to 73 people at pet markets in Baghdad today.

The first bomber instantly killed 45 people at a packed pet market in Baghdad in the deadliest attack in the Iraqi capital in six months.

A separate attack shortly after killed 20 people and wounded scores at a bird market in southern Baghdad.

I am completely sickened by this. I happen to have a brother that has Down Syndrome, so this one really gets to me. There are real monsters in this world.

Yes indeed. This was beyond imagining. But it leads me to wonder, is the pool of suicide bombers beginning to dry up?

It is just more evidence that true evil really exists in the world.

feeblemind may have a point in asking if the pool of WILLING suicide bombers is beginning to dry up. One must wonder if these two women were even aware of what was actually strapped to them? I have some experience with people who have Down Syndrome and I can tell you they can be extremely trusting of anyone who treats them nicely. They tend not to be suspicious at all unless they’ve been badly mistreated at some point in their lives. That’s what makes this so truly vicious and evil – to take advantage of someone under those conditions and use them so horribly.

Also, I believe during one of the elections these sons of filthy bitches used a teen boy with DS to do the same thing.

    Gaius -

I am the proud Mother of a beautiful DS daughter who will turn eight-years-old this month … and I simply refuse to even imagine a life without her.

What does surprise me about this is the fact that such an unforgiving, low-value-of-life culture even ALLOWS Down Syndrome babies to remain alive long after birth.

Anyhow, these two DS women, and the DS teen boy who had been used, are in true Paradise now.

If anyone is having a problem understanding what our men and women are fighting for, please read the above.

My sister is Down’s. They are trusting pleasant souls who could potentially be easily abused.
The depravity of these reports boggles the mind. I have difficulty comprehending how a righteous God delays judgment on such animals. I shudder at the thought of what awaits them in the afterlife.
It matters not what country we are fighting these monsters in to me. It only matters that they are ruthlessly hunted down as the vermin they are and killed. I don’t care what religion they belong to. I don’t care what their “rights” are as humans. They forfeited these rights when they crossed into such depravity. Evil must be confronted and exterminated. There is no common ground for negotiation with this mindset. Pray the hand of Providence still governs the selection of President of the United States.

The existence of true evil is something all too many refuse to believe. In the US (and, I believe, throughout the West), there is only one truly evil person, the fortunately-dead Adolf Hitler. The benign ones won’t even give that characteristic to Heinrich Himmler, who probably had a sad upbringing. Lenin and Stalin were not evil because their intentions were good. Concentration camp guards, serial rapists, mass murderers — name your category — they all come festooned with explanations letting their moral qualities off the hook.
This is not just a theoretical problem. Dealing with Islamist bombers, for instance, makes sense only if those who set and enforce policy are correct in their view of enemies (and friends, for that matter). This occurs only if other people’s moral qualities are correctly ascertained. You can’t buy off someone who is not interested in being bought off and who will take your goodies only to use them in ways you did not intend.
Jeane Kirkpatrick called this Benthamite universalism. The first part goes, “Deep down, we’re all alike.” This implies that there are no insurmountable differences between any of us. What always follows is, “We’re all after the same thing: a better life for our children.” That is where policy gets suicidal or, when urging Israel to buckle to scum, homicidal. This attitude is very popular with the State Department and other little old ladies. Condi seems to have been eaten alive by this nonsense.
