No Wonder They Endorsed Him

I didn't slap Barack Obama over the recent ringing endorsement that Hamas gave him. No politician can control unwanted endorsements once they are made. But maybe Hamas had a reason to believe that Obama would be willing to welcome their overtures. Since one of his advisers happened to be regularly meeting with Hamas.

One of Barack Obama’s Middle East policy advisers disclosed yesterday that he had held meetings with the militant Palestinian group Hamas – prompting the likely Democratic nominee to sever all links with him.

Robert Malley told The Times that he had been in regular contact with Hamas, which controls Gaza and is listed by the US State Department as a terrorist organisation. Such talks, he stressed, were related to his work for a conflict resolution think-tank and had no connection with his position on Mr Obama’s Middle East advisory council.

“I’ve never hidden the fact that in my job with the International Crisis Group I meet all kinds of people,” he added.

Ben LaBolt, a spokesman for Mr Obama, responded swiftly: “Rob Malley has, like hundreds of other experts, provided informal advice to the campaign in the past. He has no formal role in the campaign and he will not play any role in the future.” The rapid departure of Mr Malley followed 48 hours of heated clashes between John McCain, the Republican nominee-elect, and Mr Obama over Middle East policy.

I wouldn't know Robert Malley if I tripped over him in the street. But you can bet your bottom dollar that Hamas knew he was associated with the Obama campaign. This shows a shocking lack of political and diplomatic acumen on both Malley's part and of the Obama campaign. Whether Malley intended to or not, he was seen by Hamas as speaking for a potential President of the United States. He should not have offered to advise the campaign without telling them of his involvement with Hamas. The Obama campaign should have vetted Malley before letting him anywhere near the candidate.

And if the Obama campaign knew of Malley's connection, that raises this to a whole different level.

Of course the Obama camp knew what Malley, Soros’ guy, was doing, especially when it isn’t so different from the shenanigans with the Canadians about NAFTA -  they just thought the BBC was like our media and would turn a blind eye.  McCain may be a "seasoned" citizen (and I have a lot of thoughts about ageism), but he has the smarts to know something is slimy and underhanded when he sees it.  Malley pulled the plug quick when the gig was up, just like a criminal.
This is but another instance of naivete, inexperience, ineptitude, and dangerous lack of judgement.  Obama is not only no uniter, he is a danger to the security of the United States.

Except when it comes to violating the 1st Admendment, Climate Change fraud and Federal government’s illegal immigration policy of supporting the slave trade.
Doesn’t matter what Obama says or does, his opponent is going to be defeated by his very own Campaign Finance Reform because  he isn’t  smart enough to know just how determined and vicious is Hollywood/Moveon.org; $100 million worth of 527s are going to cream McCain.

  4. You can bet your bottom dollar the Obama campaign knew. Their protestations otherwise are about as credible as their insistence that the Prophet Barack was surprised by Jeremiah Wright’s racist rantings.

What are the chances that the media will dare investigate "What Obama knew, and when did he know it?" about anything, ever?  Not very good.  The thing is after you drink the kool-aid you dont feel like doing much.

Thank God Obama doesn’t work in the private sector.

Let’s see, the Obamessiah "didn’t know" about Jeremiah Wright and his racist, anti-American, anti-Semitic attitude and rantings, he "didn’t know" about the background of the domestic terrorist with whom he was associated, and now he "didn’t know" about Malley’s connection to Hamas. So, just what the heck does he know? It seems to me that McCain should be pointing out that Obama isn’t just naive and inexperienced in politics, he’s naive and inexperienced in his private life, as well. Either that or he’s an outright liar. Either way, I don’t want him in the White House!
