Funny, isn’t it?

Since Friday, the blogosphere has essentially switched topics altogether. It is no longer all Obama, all the time. Now it is Palin. The left continues to try to smear her, the right to defend her, or to point out the slimy behavior of the left.

But Obama has pretty well been knocked out of the ’sphere.

As I said Friday, well played, John McCain.

The left and the media (I know, sometimes the terms are redundant) thinks they can damage McCain and Palin with their antics. Instead, I suspect, they are putting their loathsome side right out there where the public can see it. The public is not particularly amused by that.

I’m not so confident of the public, but if this crap changes the minds of 5-10% that will be good enough.

We are in the midst of a generational transfer of political power. The real race this fall is between Obama and Palin. McCain and Biden are secondary if not irrelevant. Obama and Palin are at opposite poles of the political spectrum, and whoever wins will set the course of this country for a very long time.

Too bad there isn’t some version of the “Fairness” doctrine that would force the “MSM” to carry the convention speeches.

I wonder when Obama will figure out he got the short end of the VP selection process?

Newt Gingerich annoyed me (my fingers want to type “irretrievably”) when he pissed away the opportunity as speaker.

The interview I watched on an MSNBC clip a while ago may have bought him forgiveness.

And speaking of possible redemption, riddle me this:

How come I saw that on MSNBC? How come the only video I could find of Thompson’s speech is an MSNBC clip?

Have you seen the Obamessiah’s statement comparing his record with Palin’s? He completely ignores her time as governor and makes a comment about the town of Wasilla having 50 employees and a budget of about 10 million while his experience running his campaign with 2500 employees and a budget in the hundreds of millions qualifies him be president. Running a campaign qualifies you to be Commander in Chief of the combined Armed Forces of the United States? It qualifies you to be in charge of a budget in the trillions of dollars? Besides, isn’t the CAMPAIGN MANAGER in charge of running the campaign, supervising the budget and the employees so the candidate is free to campaign? I have to ask, is Obama still on those drugs he says he took when he was younger?

Sarah Palin has headed a city government. It may be a small city but it’s still executive experience. She was head of not just one but two state commissions. As governor of Alaska she was the executive of the largest state in the Union with a budget in excess of 10 billion dollars. She is Commander in Chief of the Alaska National Guard. She has a state sandwiched between Russia and Canada and has to conduct foriegn relations with both of those countries. In short, she has more executive experience than anyone else running in this campaign, including and especially the Obamessiah who has never been in charge of ANYTHING in his entire life!

In 72 hrs I’ve learned more about the Palin family than I have about either McCain’s or Obama’s family and the only thing I know about Biden’s family is the son who is a Lobbyist involved in financial no-no’s.

    oops that’s ‘McCain’s or Obama’s family in 2 years’

Syn, don’t worry. There isn’t much to know. Pretty desolate terrain.
