Hate
Here is Obama supporter Cintra Wilson writing about Sarah Palin on Salon:
Sarah Palin and her virtual burqa have me and my friends retching into our handbags. She’s such a power-mad, backwater beauty-pageant casualty, it’s easy to write her off and make fun of her. But in reality I feel as horrified as a ghetto Jew watching the rise of National Socialism.
She is dangerous. She is not just pro-life, she’s anti-life. She is the suppression of human feeling and instinct. She is a slave to the compromises dictated by her own desire for power and control. Sarah Palin is untethered from her own needs and those of her family, which is in crisis, with a pregnant daughter, a son on the way to Iraq and a special-needs infant.
That’s right, the nomination of Sarah Palin is now the moral equivalent of the start of the Holocaust.
Please notice, this “piece” was not pulled off of an obscure diary at the Daily Kos; It came off of a supposedly mainstream media organ. This is what the MSM is becoming.
The Left keep saying they want to “change” America, and, oh, they mean it. They just have no intention of making it a better place.

All over America, families are dealing with new babies, pregnant teens, and their kids going off to war. It is not easy, but it is normal.
In “not-america,” families are aborting their babies because they are inconvenient, telling their pregnant teens to get an abortion, and telling their kids to go to Canada.

It amazes me to see the level of animosity she has generated among the left wing, particularly among left-leaning women. Where I live in the Rocky Mountain region, women similar to Ms. Palin are common, which is one reason why I find her so appealing. Apparently she represents a dire threat to a segment of the female population.

Virtual burqa? A strong woman who stands up for herself, stands up to any man she thinks is corrupt, earns a high government office in doing so is wearing a virtual burqa? How do these people’s minds work? If anything Sarah Palin is the antithesis of a woman in a burqa. In fact she is everything the burqa pushers (Islamic Fundamentalists) detest in non-burqa wearing western women.
Power mad? Why? Because she saw injustice and corruption in her hometown and state and had the temerity to step up, battle that injustice and win?
Backwater, beauty pageant casualty? Now that’s just plain catty! Do these people have even a clue as to how mentally and emotionally troubled (to be charitable) these rantings make them sound?

National Socialism? Isn’t that what the Obama campaign and the left are proposing for America. I’m not sure I can handle being “governed” by such and enlightened bunch.

I bet they also hate Palin because she is intolerant.

I wonder what this woman is like on a bad day. She sounds like somebody’s ex wife. Obama should put lipstick on her.

For MSM, what they say they hate, is what they have become.
