Waving From The Limousine
Wow, just wow. After spending a day campaigning in which he talked about the mortgage crisis and the Wall Street upheavals and the impact on regular Americans, Barack Obama jetted to a ritzy Hollywood fundraiser. (Undoubtedly, he took his luxury campaign plane with his leather chair embroidered with the word “President“.)
“These are the struggles that Americans are facing. This is the pain that has now trickled up.”
Then he jetted off to Los Angeles Tuesday evening for a pair of glitzy fundraisers that could be the biggest for Democrats during this election cycle.
He feels your pain.
It only cost a person $28,500 per plate to attend the dinner. Why, he’s just like regular folks more and more every day, he is. So nice to see him out meeting the little guys. I’m sure he waved as the motorcade streaked past. Honest.

Actually, $31,000 if you wanted to go to the Streisand concert.

Maybe Hollywood needs community organizing too?

The arugula was just divine.

I refuse to pay Hollywood anymore, haven’t seen a Hollywood product since 2005.
I will however, make a statement by going to see “An American Carol” on Oct 3rd. I don’t care if it is the worst movie ever, it is an independent anti-Hollywood establishment movie made outside Hollywood’s control and I want those producers, actors and the director of this movie to know that they have not risked their careers and livelihood by taking on Hollywood establishment.
Make your statement so that the message is heard; the box office for this movie needs to be greater than Gibson’s ‘Passion of Christ’

And you get to hear Barbra Streisand sing and bash Bush, McCain, and Palin for that price, too! What a bargain!

Martian?
I believe those who attended (for $28,500) had to pay and extra $2,500 to see Babs sing.

Derek, was it an extra $10,000 to get ear plugs?
By martian, September 18, 2008 @ 9:43 am
My mistake, Derek, apparently it was a $31000 bargain instead of a $28500 bargain! But you get to eat with the Obamesiah and hear Babs, too? What a paltry sum for such ecstasy!
