“He shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed…” Constitution of the United States, Article II, Section 2

The Associated Press reports that Barack Obama’s aunt, a native of Kenya is living in this country illegally and is receiving public assistance in the form of subsidized housing, despite having a standing deportation order against her.

Barack Obama’s aunt, a Kenyan woman who has been quietly living in public housing in Boston, is in the United States illegally after an immigration judge rejected her request for asylum four years ago, The Associated Press has learned.
Zeituni Onyango, 56, referred to as “Aunti Zeituni” in Obama’s memoir, was instructed to leave the United States by a U.S. immigration judge who denied her asylum request, a person familiar with the matter told the AP late Friday. This person spoke on condition of anonymity because no one was authorized to discuss Onyango’s case.

So we have a situation here. Barack Obama has a huge conflict of interest on both the issue of illegal immigration and on redistribution of wealth. His own aunt is in this country illegally and is receiving public assistance. (She also admitted to the British press that she had donated to the Obama campaign – clearly illegal under US election finance laws.)

So, when he speaks on illegal immigration, who is he representing? Who would benefit from any changes made in the immigration laws?

When he speaks of redistributing wealth, who is he speaking for? Who benefits? Who receives those redistributed funds?

This is an enormous problem.

The last line in al-AP’s article is priceless:

“It was not immediately clear how Onyango might have qualified for public housing with a standing deportation order.”

Are the authors of the article serious, or are they being deliberately obtuse? One lesson that my wife (a legal immigrant from Africa) and I learned during our efforts to obtain first her visa and then her “green card” is that large sections of the Federal bureaucracy are open in their defiance of Federal immigration laws. While attempting to get her Social Security number (needed in order to legally work in the USA) the local SSA office stonewalled and sent us to the local Health and Human Services office to seek help there (no, going to the welfare office did not make sense, but the SSA bureaucrat told us that applying for public aid might “move things along” in our efforts in getting a SS number). In the HHS office there was a large sign that proudly proclaimed WE DO NOT VERIFY THE IMMIGRATION STATUS OF APPLICANTS.

(To make a long story short, we did not apply for welfare. The whole thing was rather seedy and sordid, not to mention fishy. After over a year of effort we went to the regional SSA office and *finally* got my wife’s SS number.)

That’s how Zeituni Onyango and many thousands of other felons live off of taxpayers – through a bureaucracy with its own agenda. A Federal bureaucracy cannot create new laws, but it can refuse to enforce existing laws, and that’s what is going on in Onyango’s case. And when backed up by activist judges they move government beyond the reach of the American people. Recently judges ordered the restoration of fraudulent names to voting rolls in Ohio and other states. This is what a dictatorship of the “smart people” looks like.

The story must be a hoax. The MSM would never voluntarily put out a story unfavorable to Obama, would they?

Why would this give the Obamessiah even a moment’s pause? This is a man who has called the Constitution of the United States “a flawed document”. What else can you expect from him? Here is an interesting link to a 16 minute film clip that’s a real eye opener in regard to the current situation in our nation:

Actually, this is yet another hit piece against Republicans:

Information about the deportation case was disclosed and confirmed by two separate sources, one of them a federal law enforcment official. The information they made available is known to officials in the federal government, but the AP could not establish whether anyone at a political level in the Bush administration or in the McCain campaign had been involved in its release.

Got it? Even thought it was a Federal law “enforcment” officer who released the information it’s the GOP’s fault! It must be the GOP’s fault since all “enforcment” officers are tools of Karl Rove! They made the “enforcment” officer do it! The illegal alien angle (part of a racist plot) makes the Chosen One look bad, so that proves it! al-AP knows who released this info, but still wants to falsely imply the Bush administration somehow broke the law.

And then there is this weird it’s-no-big-deal line:

Onyango is not a relative whom Obama has discussed in campaign appearances and, unlike Obama’s father and grandmother, is not someone who has been part of the public discussion about his personal life.

In other words, unless it is yet another case of some kook speculating about how Trig Palin is the result of an incestuous relationship between Sarah Palin’s husband and daughter, then al-AP does not want to hear about it, it is out of bounds, and probably an illegal Bush plot anyway.

The Messiah’s disciples are already going after the whistleblowers in this case:

Obama aide: Timing of news about his aunt ‘suspicious’

    Key quote:

House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers of Michigan questioned both the timing and the source of the news Saturday, sending a public letter to Homeland Security chief Michael Chertoff requesting an investigation.

What happened to Joe the Plumber is nothing compared to what will happen to all of the unwashed heathen who get in the way of the Chosen One. America: meet your version of Robert Mugabe.

@Mwalimu Daudi: The Mugabe-Obama comparison has occurred to me as well.

  7. martian says:

Mwalimu, I’m surprised at you. Have the Democrats over the last seven years taught you nothing? OF COURSE it was the GOP’s fault and, most likely, directly atributable to George Bush himself. After all, as far as I’ve been able to tell, any good Democrat can find a way to blame any and all negatives things throughout history on George Bush and the GOP. Even things like the sub-prime mortgage crisis, which can be directly traced to Democratic legislation and regulation refusal is REALLY the fault of George Bush’s failed policies – ervyone knows that! And if you don’t, they’ll certainly explain it to you!

  8. Kathy says:

The missing story is why a person on illegally on welfare has enough money to donate illegally to BO’s campaign.

The things Obama claims he didn’t/doesn’t know grows faster than Pinnochio’s nose. Is he stupid or lying?

And why would we want either in the WH?

  9. Gaius says:

I believe the real point here is that Obama has huge conflicts of interest on these issues. That is what we need to stress. Anything else the media turns into attacks on the woman herself. The conflict issue is immune to that – it is a simple fact.
