Step Out Of Line….

And the messiah will call you names. (If he doesn’t throw you from the plane, of course.) Barack Obama has a new name for anyone who opposes higher taxes, regardless of the reasons that person might have for doing so. Obama calls these people “selfish”.

“The point is, though, that — and it’s not just charity, it’s not just that I want to help the middle class and working people who are trying to get in the middle class — it’s that when we actually make sure that everybody’s got a shot – when young people can all go to college, when everybody’s got decent health care, when everybody’s got a little more money at the end of the month – then guess what? Everybody starts spending that money, they decide maybe I can afford a new car, maybe I can afford a computer for my child. They can buy the products and services that businesses are selling and everybody is better off. All boats rise. That’s what happened in the 1990s, that’s what we need to restore. And that’s what I’m gonna do as president of the United States of America.

“John McCain and Sarah Palin they call this socialistic,” Obama continued. “You know I don’t know when, when they decided they wanted to make a virtue out of selfishness.”

McQ at QandO has a helpful graph to explain who exactly pays taxes in this country.

The real Obama plan then? Well, to create a fully-funded (with other people’s money) underclass with no incentives to move up and get better paying jobs. There is, in fact, a profound disincentive created by Obama’s plan. Since earning too much would instantly expose the person to massive tax increases. And if you complain about the taxes, you’ll be demonized as “selfish”.

Meanwhile, the rich get poorer – Bill Richardson has now called $120,000 the threshold.

“What Obama wants to do is he is basically looking at $120,000 and under among those that are in the middle class, and there is a tax cut for those,” Richardson said in the interview, according to a clip posted on YouTube.

At this rate, the rich will be defined as those who have a job at McDonald’s soon.

This is exactly what scares the *hit out of me.
I work hard for MY money and what I have. I have a big student loan debt so I could do what I wanted to do with my life. I don’t expect any one else to shoulder that burden, nor do I think anyone should get a piece of MY pie. I call it personal responsibility.
