I know that some of my right leaning colleagues are reporting on this as a topic of outrage. Yes, there appears to be a group of folks planning to meet at a McDonald’s to plot a way to make an Obama holiday.
I’ll just point out that they are meeting at a McDonald’s.
At 7:30 a.m. on Inauguration Day, Obama Cake will be served at the downtown McDonald’s, and a celebration is scheduled for 8 p.m. to midnight Jan. 20 at the Ramada Hotel and Convention Center, 420 S.E. 6th.
We here at Blue Crab Boulevard thought we’d help out with an award-winning recipe for Obama Cake! (We’re not entirely sure what award it has won, but we have hope that change is coming!)
Half cup of Messiah Mix Flour
One cup Hopey-Changey brand Milk of Magnesia (to make the tax hikes go down)
Five cans of Yes We (whatever that is)
Seven cups of fluff
Twelve cups of delusion
Place all ingredients into a mixer, whip until the media fawns, then bake for the next four years.
You might want to abandon the area, though. When this thing blows, it’ll be spectacular.

You forgot the Smoke and Mirrors sugar! Without that the cake will be very sour. Come to think of it, it might be anyway.
