It would give us an established presence in the region that we have not had since the Turks nationalized our bases in Turkey. And it would give President Ahm-a-doofy-jerk of Iran a permanent case of heartburn - no small accomplishment. It would, in my opinion, serve as a stabilizing presence in the region, as well. But what am I thinking? We just elected the Obamesiah to guide us into the future of bright shining promise of "change" - and one of his promised changes is to bring ALL American troops home ASAP.
