The irony is evident. A few weeks ago Instapundit had an excellent suggestion. Any conservative officeholder who agrees to be interviewed by an MSM outlet should videotape the interview and put it on the Internet. If the MSM balks, then that is a clear signal that they plan still more dirty work. But best of all (in my opinion) is for conservatives to show the MSM the door and start developing their own methods of communicating with the public. The GOP is facing the absolute certainty of blowout losses in 2010 and 2012 that will dwarf what has gone before. ACORN will have the full backing of the Obama Justice Department to register legions of phony voters, and the MSM will get much worse now that the "Fairness Doctrine" is poised for a comeback. Do not be surprised if after the 2012 elections Republicans have 10-15 Senate seats and about 100 or so House seats. The slow-motion steal of the Senate election in Minnesota is a tiny sample of what is yet to come. By developing alternative methods of communication (such as conservative talk radio and the Internet) conservatives can at least raise questions before most of these channels are silenced. I have zero faith in the judicial system, as it failed to stop "campaign finance reform" and other backdoor efforts at censorship. But the public may start to wonder what happened if dissent suddenly starts to vanish and the economy and international situation begin to decay. And decay they will. All dictatorships have weaknesses, and the coming Obamanation will be a combination of wacko racist ideology combined with total incompetence. Beating up on Republicans is easy compared to al Qaeda, and no socialist workers' "paradise" has ever created economic prosperity. And in a country as rich and diverse as the US it will be hard for the Obamanation to successfully plug all methods of communication. Something will slip through.
