What If The Glaciers Are Growing?

Oh, wait. They are.

After years of decline, glaciers in Norway are again growing, reports the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE). The actual magnitude of the growth, which appears to have begun over the last two years, has not yet been quantified, says NVE Senior Engineer Hallgeir Elvehøy.

The flow rate of many glaciers has also declined. Glacier flow ultimately acts to reduce accumulation, as the ice moves to lower, warmer elevations.

Via The Daily Bayonet, who also supplies a huge – and I mean huge – roundup of global warming hoax information. There are some real gems over there, including the new stretch Prius. Happy hunting!

I was gonna post something snarky about NOAA’s Arctic Animal Research Center where they would collect two of each of the various arctic species and then freeze them in liquid nitrogen and then dry them and bury them in Yucca Mountain for 10,000 years. Then in case of arctic meltdown, they could just add water and clone them and create more.

But then I decided the NOAA’s AARC story might work better on April 1 so I think I’ll wait.

Can we bayonet the glaciers? Will that stop their implacable advance?
