The newspapers blame the Internet, just as Detroit blames Japan. But the Japanese have problems of their own. One day they’ll get theirs. That’s the beauty of capitalism. Nothing is forever. The big railroad barons smoking cigars and enjoying pheasant under glass in the dining car on the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe thought Henry Ford was a schmuck. Who’d want to ride around in that thing? Next thing you know everyone’s getting their kicks on Route 66:
Read the entire reflection on the state of our economy. California collapsing under the weight of its self-imposed obligations. New York’s governor proposing a huge tax increase on just about everything that moves. Car companies asking for taxpayer money. Its a painful piece to read and think about.

I know people on both the east and west coasts that can’t make the connection between decades of dem rule and, rising taxes/regs and atrophying economies. They just don’t see it. It’s the fault of ‘the bureaucracy’ or ‘the system’, but not dems. It boggles my feeble mind.
Thanks for linking to this article. Mark is always entertaining.
No, feeblemind, it’s the fault of George Bush and his neo-cons. Just ask any liberal. They can tell you that all evil since the beginning of time was the fault of President George W. Bush. He has personally destroyed the economy, caused terrorism, ruined the reputation of the US on the world stage and caused baby birds to fall from their nests – evil personified.
I’m sickof hearing about those people who always blame somebody else! Here in North Florida, alot of the people who moved here, did so to get away from those miscreants and reprobates!
That is all,
‘Bird out.
