They did both. They campaigned to end feeding the filthy things and they had an extermination company come in. The company used a powerful poison that literally had the birds falling dead from the sky. It was soon raining dead pigeons all across campus. The sensitive types on campus went wild. But the campaign to stop feeding the pigeons stayed strong because of the fear of another pigeon pogrom. I went to university at a big school back east. They did both.
