With a very well-publicized, hyper-disciplined, White House coordinated penchant for astroturfing control, with ample evidence of media tankage, we are, one presumes, to believe this sudden flurry of “news” and “opinion” items is just a coincidence.

Item: Homeland Security is suddenly very worried about rightwing threat potential:

A couple of points – if what we saw is the level of intelligence the department is gathering and is indicative of the sophistication of the analysis it sees fit to publish, we are all in very deep trouble. That is one of the worst products I’ve ever seen produced by an agency anywhere, and I’ve read hundreds of intelligence analysis in my time. No specifics, vague and over-generalized threats, and nonsensical reasoning were its hallmark. That was my primary problem with it. As I pointed out, half of America, to include the news media, fell under their “rightwing extremist” umbrella.

Item: paying taxes is “patriotic”, protesting against taxes is “plutocratic”:

But for the rest of us, the civilian majority, our government asks very little. Except for April 15. On this day, our government asks that we pay our fair share of taxes to keep our beloved country strong and safe…..

…..So why are a bunch of Fox News clowns and right-wing cranks hosting “tea parties” all over the country? The Boston Tea Party, in case the clods at Fox didn’t know it, protested “taxation without representation.” Note the second word: without. The goofballs tossing tea bags today have representation. They voted in the election; they lost……

…..If the whiners at Fox News want to advertise their selfishness, they are free to do so. But please don’t dress it up as patriotism. Patriotism is putting your country ahead of yourself — which is the precise opposite of what the tea party plutocrats are doing.

Any opposition to the policies of Barack Obama, even just a speech, must be silenced, by whatever violent means necessary:

UNC-CH police released pepper spray and threatened to use a Taser on student protesters Tuesday evening when a crowd disrupted a speech by former Colorado congressman Tom Tancredo opposing in-state tuition benefits to unauthorized immigrants.

Hundreds of protesters converged on Bingham Hall, shouting profanities and accusations of racism while Tancredo and the student who introduced him tried to speak. Minutes into the speech, a protester pounded a window of the classroom until the glass shattered, prompting Tancredo to flee and campus police to shut down the event.

No, I do not believe in these kinds of coincidences.

They are – and should be – worried. Because there are a growing number of people refusing to buy into the closely coordinated White House-lefty blogosphere-media narrative.

And frankly, if politicians who have to vote on Obama’s agenda are not worried about what is happening today, then they are not paying attention. A vote for Obama’s agenda is going to translate into a rough reelection campaign. Bet on it.

That’s why the White House is pulling out the stops today trying to denigrate, smear and silence.

UPDATE: Just up over at Memeorandum. The Chicago Tea Party appears to have been pretty well attended.

Only a self-consciously weak and fundamentally corrupt President would be so paranoid to take action the way Obama’s minions have in his first hundred days. Stating the obvious: these actions are pure evil. This looks, sounds, and smells more and more like Germany in the 1930s.
