I found this page by doing a google search on "swine flu" and "hype". The opening statement at the top of the page confirms what I suspected.

Do I sound like a conspiracy theorist when I say that the liberals and the media are in on scaring people together? Al Gore may not have created the internet, but I'm fairly sure that he created global warming.

This is a perfect example of the Rahm Emmanuel philosophy, "Never let a good crisis go to waste" - even if you have to exaggerate heavily to turn it into a crisis. The whole Obama governing philosophy seems to be one of permanent crisis. In 100 days we've gone from one crisis to the next with nary a breath in between. I guess he figures if there's always a crisis everyone will be too busy worrying about that to look too closely at what hew and his lackeys are doing.

The Aetiology blog and the Global Health Report blog both have good data.

"Damaged," eh? Good term for it. I'm in the highest risk category and am choosing not to go into isolation. Roll the dice, wash my hands, take more C...
