Not exactly encouraging news about Air France flight 447. Although it may be some time – if ever – before the real cause of the crash is known, French security services have apparently found that two people with ties to terror groups may have been aboard the doomed flight:
Two men with names linked to Islamic terrorism were aboard the Air France jet which crashed with the loss of 228 lives, it has been revealed.
Both were in their 20s and of unspecified nationality. Their bodies have not yet been found, making proper identification impossible.
The French secret service is treating the discovery as ‘highly significant’.
Possibly a very significant bit of news. Possibly.
I guess it’s worth a “Hmmmmm……”
But let’s remember two things:
All info indicates that the plane flew into a particularily ferocious storm, sort of a weird coincidence of timing for the “attack” to take place at that moment. And, the aircraft itself has had potentially dangerous issues with manual vs. computer control in such situations.
If this was “terrorism”, there is something strange… To be a “terrorist”, you have to “terrorize”. It’s hard to do that when everyone says (plausibly) that a storm downed to plane, and no one, but no one, steps up to say “I done it! And I’ll do it again, if you don’t (insert lame-ass political demands here)…….”
That all makes “terrorism” a bit of an odd scenario here.
How can it be that those two were on the plane (not matter what the cause turns out to be)?
I thought all this screening, take off your clothes, scan through to your soul stuff was supposed to keep people like that off the airplanes.
