So, What If Nobody Watches?

I really think the ABC (that’s All Barack Channel) television network is ruining itself by turning its news broadcasts into nothing more than an infomercial for ObamaCare. But then, maybe they have already ruined themselves. Because in a nation of some 300 million, a viewership of 6.42 million says they are not exactly a force.

TVNewser has learned the CBS Evening News has once again set an all-time low last week with 4.89 million Total Viewers and 1.42 million A25-54 viewers. But it was also the lowest (since records began in the 1991-’92 season) for ABC’s World News with Charles Gibson. The Gibson program drew 6.42 million Total Viewers and 1.77 million A25-54 viewers.

Mind you, I realize the Crabitat has very few readers compared to ABC News.  But ABC is only reaching something like 2% of the American public. That is not exactly a stirring number.

This explains – a lot – why ABC is more than willing to submit to the White House and be the water-carrier (we’ll forgo the more derogatory terms here) for the administration.

But one would be remiss to fail to point out that if ObamaCare turns into the disaster that I and a lot of others believe it will, then ABC will be history in a very short time. Because people will remember the network that faithfully whipped for Obama’s programs. And when they lose their insurance, they will have an easy target to pay back.

Of course, given their numbers at the moment, this all may be moot. Because what if the infomercial isn’t really seen by more than the rather paltry audience they are showing at the moment?

Either way, ABC is in trouble here.

Sweet dreams, ABC executives. Even sweeter dreams, ABC investors.

In the spirit of a gazillion jobs “created or saved”, the Crabitat has 6.43 million current readers or potential future readers.

One wonders if the day is approaching when the networks will decide there is more profitable programming to broadcast than the evening news? But if they dropped the news, the controllers of the networks would lose influence as the platform for their political beliefs would be gone. And if that is so, perhaps the evening news is nothing more than an extravagance to stoke the egos of those in control?

Has anyone looked at ABC’s programming lately? It stinks, so ABC’s management is looking for anything to boost ratings.

feeblemind, the major networks (ABC, CBS & NBC) stopped broadcasting news a long time ago. They have been broadcasting mostly slanted Democratic Party propaganda since the early 90s when they got their first president elected. However, they won’t drop the programs they CALL news any time soon as it would cost the Democrats their biggest free propaganda arm. If necessary, the Democratic majority will vote to give them subsidies to keep them alive for the propaganda value alone. After all, what do they care? It’s not their money. As good ole Charlie Gibson would say, “It’s YOUR money”.

Some months ago I shot my TV. Two in the screen, one in the remote.
It is now a nesting box for the Carolina Wrens who pass through.

Well, the Barrie Obama health care infomercial aired on the All Barack Channel last night. Of the 4 major networks, the All Barack Channel came in dead last in the ratings. Draw your own conclusions.
